Solar Powered Electric Gates
After performing several trials of solar powered automation, H.B. Paynter (Gates) Ltd are pleased to announce the availability of one of the most reliable solar powered kits on the market today.
The solar powered kits we install use a combination of components from several manufactures. We spent countless hours testing our own installed equipment and measuring the energy used during manoeuvres to accurately calculate the necessary amount of power needed to perform a single operation. Once this figure was calculated we were able to conclude what size solar panel/s and battery is needed to ensure the solar powered kits can perform as effectively as possible.
One of the key features of our system is that when the automated electric gates are not being used all devices (such as safety photocell beams and receivers) lie dormant. The only time they require power is when the electric gates are actually moving, this leaves the maximum amount of time available for the solar panel to charge the battery. More importantly though, it allows us to install a solar powered gate with the relevant safety photocell beams. When broken, the infrared safety photocell beams prevent the gate/s from opening or closing onto a vehicle. This combined with obstacle detection to automatically reverse gate travel when an object is contacted ensures that the gates are safe and comply with the appropriate EU and British standards.
